Mary has 28 $5-coins, some $2-coins and $0.5-coins. If the ratio of the value of $5-coins to that of $2-coins is 35:24:11, find (a) the number of $2-coins Mary has, (b) the ratio of the numbers of $5-coins and to $0.5-coins. Thanks.

let A be no. of $2-coins & B be no. of $0.5-coins (a) A = 5 x 28 / 35 x 24 / 2 = 48 (b) B = 5 x 28 / 35 x 11 / 0.5 = 88 the ratio of the numbers of $5-coins and to $0.5-coins = 28 : 88 = 7 : 11 2011-09-02 10:14:12 補充： (b) the ratio should be 28: 88 = 7 : 22
